KINDERGARTEN AND TRANSFER STUDENT REGISTRATION

If you reside in the Yough School District and have a child who will be 5-years-old on or before September 1, 2026, this information is for you.

We recognize that entering a new school can be a significant transition for both students and families. In the Yough School District, we are committed to making this transition as smooth and welcoming as possible. Our schools maintain an open-door philosophy, and families are encouraged to contact their building administrators with any questions or concerns. Your partnership in your child’s education is essential, and your support enables us to provide a high-quality, world-class learning experience for every student.

Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 School Year will begin on March 2, 2026.  You may pick up a registration packet at your child's elementary school between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on any school day by taking the following required documents:

• 2 proofs of your residency in the district (e.g., utility bill,  mortgage or lease)
• Your child's birth certificate
• Your child's immunization records

Upon presenting these documents, you will receive our registration packet to take home and complete. Registration forms are to be completed as soon as possible and returned to school prior to each school's set registration date. 

Upon receipt of the completed packet, the school staff will give you an appointment for the Kindergarten screening in May.

If you have recently moved into the Yough School District and would like to enroll your child within our school system, please visit the school in which your child would attend to pick up a registration packet.  In order to register your child, you will need the following:
