The Yough School District is very proud of its strong academic programs, excellent teaching and administrative staff, and wide array of opportunities to help our students flourish. 
Our mission in the Yough School District is to provide all students with a 21st Century learning experience in a collaborative and supportive environment. Entering any new school can be a challenging time for children; in the Yough School District our doors are always open to help assist you in any way possible.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your building administration at any time.  Your role in the learning experience is critical and your support is necessary for us to provide your child with a world-class educational opportunity. 


Kindergarten registration for the 2024-2025 School Year will begin on March 4, 2024.  You may pick up the registration packet at your child's elementary school between 10 am and 3 pm M-F school days by taking the following required documents:

  • 2 proofs of your residency in the district (e.g., utility bill,  mortgage or lease)
  • Your child's birth certificate
  • Your child's immunization records

If you are not sure which of the 3 district elementary schools serves your area, please contact the registrar at 724-446-7272, x1000 or

Upon presenting these documents you will receive our registration packet to take home and complete. Please return the completed registration forms to the school by May 2. 

Upon receipt of the completed packet, the school staff will give you an appointment for the Kindergarten screening in May.  See the flyer (AVAILABLE SOON)  for more info.


Registration forms for transfer students are available  for the current year and new forms will be available starting April 11 for the 2024-2025 school year.

If you are not able to print the forms, please pick a packet up at the District Central Administration Office at the HS building, Door 4 or  contact us  and provide your name, address, children's names, grades and anticipated date of enrollment. We will mail you a registration packet. If you do have print capabilities, the forms can be accessed in the adjacent block for download. Please complete and print the forms.   

You will also need 2 proofs of residency, the birth certificate, and immunization records when submitting your registration packet. If any custody documents are in place, they must be presented at the time of registration.  Please see the right-hand section for directions on completing registration.

PROOF OF RESIDENCY NOTES:  Utility bills, tax records, settlement agreement, and rental lease agreement are examples of acceptable proof of your residency in the Yough School District. If your family is living with another district resident who owns or rents the home and therefore you do not have such proof of residency for your family, please ask the homeowner to complete the following form (requires notarization) and provide 2 proofs of their residency.
